Chávez is a revolutionary leader. He has been in struggle for years, even in jail againts a despotic government as was Carlos Andrés Pérez as president of Venezuela. It's difficult to be openly socialist in Latinamerica, because of the proximity with the USA. However Chávez has improved the conditions of workers, and has protected the interest of Venezuela and Latinamerica, wich have been abused and exploited for centurys. Fidel Castro didn't show himself openly socialist until que defeated Batista's army and won revolutionary war, what causes a conmotion in the USA. Socialism can't be dogmatic has a religion (like those guys of the Second International, 100 years ago), socialism should be open and self-criticisim, and every culture and nation will choose the way of socialism. Being dogmatic is acting like Bush and his "War against terrorism", who has the mesianic and stupid idea "All those who are not with us, are against us"... CIAO.

ALL I KNOW IS THAT CHAVEZ AND VENEZUELA WOULDN`T SURVIVE IF IT WASN`T FOR THE US DOLLARS HE GETS FROM SELLING OIL.HE SHOULD BE A GOOD BUISSNES PARTNER AND BE THANKFUL FOR THE OIL VENEZUELA HAS.
SOCIALSM SEEKS EQUALITY,WELL, THAT`S IMPOSSIBLE SINCE WE ALL HUMAN BEINGS ARE NOT THE SAME(THAT WOULD BE SO BORING). THERE`S HARD WORKING PEOPLE AND THERE`S LAZY PEOPLE ,SOME PEOPLE ARE SMART SOME PEOPLE AREN`T,AND SOME PEOPLE WANT TO BE RICH AND OTHER PEOPLE JUST DON`T. AND THAT`S THE WAY IT`S ALWAYS GOING TO BE. SO, FOR SOCIALISM TO BE ABLE TO FUNCTION IN A SOCIETY, HAS TO EITHER ,FORCE ITS PEOPLE TO THINK THE SAME WAY AND WANT THE SAME THINGS(WICH IT`S BEEN PROVEN IMPOSSIBLE),OR WAIT UNTIL THE WHOLE SOCIETY ITSELF MOVES TOWARDS THAT WAY OF THINKING WICH ,WHO KNOWS,IT MIGHT HAPPEN,IN THE NEXT THOUSAND YEARS OR SO.FOR NOW,I JUST DON`T THINK SO... Nobody cares what you had to go through. You don't know the meaning of the word socialism. Go to school and learn it, then you come back and try to teach us.

Maybee the best thing to do would be to look at economic indicators
purchasing parity power http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Purchasing_power_parity GDP http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gdp and Gini index http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gini_index I'm guessing that the first two will decrease and the last one wil increase in Venusuella under Chavez I'll bet 100 euros over a ten year period!!!!!!!!
